The impact of Cohesion is evident in the AFL through the use of the Accumulated Continuity Marker (a measure of game-by-game Cohesion) and it's relative ability to predict game outcomes. The chart below shows seasonal outcome predictions from 2010 to 2016 using the base level Accumulated Continuity Marker. This marker does not incorporate any AFL game specific information, does not get adjusted for form during the season and contains no player or team performance data (Betting agency odds predictions have been used for the purpose of benchmark comparison).
Cohesion Analytics isn't actually about prediction but understanding what drives performance. Prediction is just one of the many outputs.
